Week 6, Term 2

At reading time we move through a variety of rotations. We get ten minutes at each station before we move onto the next. I-pads is an absolute favourite!

Once a week we get to go to 'No Child Left Inside' with Catherine. This is a programme designed to increase and improve our fundamental skills. This week we were learning about the overarm throw. We had to use our muscle arms! Catherine told us we had to dream about it so that we could get better!

On Wednesday after lunch Haley comes to our class to teach us Mandarin. We play all sorts of games to learn how to say...
Hello - Ni hao (nee how)
Goodbye- Zaijian (sigh gin)
Thank you - Xiexie (she she)
We have also been learning how to count to ten!

Next week...
Our sounds will be m/r.
Our tricky words will be put/all.
During maths we are working with the number 5.
We will continue to swim if the weather is suitable.
On Monday from 11am - 3pm Sam will be teaching in Renwick 3 as I have classroom release time. Sam will also be teaching all day Wednesday as I am on a course.
On Friday it is Purple Cake Day. We will try to dress in as much purple as we can! We require parent help for face painting on Friday morning. No experience required!

Have a happy and safe week!

  1. Great to see the blog up and running, as it can be a tad difficult extracting info from a tired kid after school. Some fantastic little snippets there. Keep up the good work, always appreciated Tom and liz
