Calendar Art

Yes it is that time of year again!
Nelson Central School Community Group do an outstanding job within our school organising various fundraising activities. Calendar art is one of the projects that makes a substantial contribution for our children.
Below is your children's artwork that they have selected for their calendar. There are other options to purchase such as, cards, diaries, mouse mats or notepads. Instructions on how to order items will be sent home this week. These make great Christmas and/or birthday gifts.
The art work will also be displayed in the classroom for you to take a look. The art work represents a response to either 'Mr. Uppity' or our poem 'Did you ever go fishing?'

We have number of very creative children in Renwick 3! The oral language that I observe and listen to is music to my ears as the children build, amend, recreate, discuss, negotiate, modify and adjust their work. During times of play children are developing these essential skills to be learners of our future!

 Next week...

Our sound will be the vowel 'e' - short and long sounds.
Our tricky words will be eat/more
During maths we will be looking at basic facts to 10/20.

Week 2 Term 3

Another action packed week in Renwick 3!

On Tuesday we had a super surprise and we had a 'Futsal' lesson with Ben. Futsal is a little bit like football but the balls are slightly different and easier for us to manage. We were learning how to dribble the ball forwards and backwards.
We have one more session next Tuesday.

Lunch times are busy for us racing around the playground so when we come back inside we need to top up on our energy. We either have a snack from our lunchbox or have milk. This sees us through for the rest of the day!

This week we were involved in more tree planting in our school. Don came to help us from the Brook Sanctuary. You will notice that the agapanthus from the front of Renwick House have gone and we have replaced them with natives. It was very hard digging!

On Thursday we always look forward to our computer time in the library. We will miss out next week because of the Book Fair :(

Next week...

Our sounds will be ue/ie.
Our tricky words are off /ask.
During maths we will be looking at tens and ones.
On Tuesday we have another Futsal lesson with Ben.
This week there is a Book Fair in the library. This is a great fundraiser for the school. The library will be open at 8.30am before school if you would like to take a look with your child. It will also be open after school as well.

Have a happy and safe week!
